Hundreds of flashes, star-quality smiles from stunning elegant ladies in night blue lace gowns and a parade of glamorous goddess-Kali-inspired figures surrounded me as I stepped on the red carpet of Eccentric 2015 opening night. A glass of sparkling Veuve Cliquot was the final touch to a warm welcome to one of the country’s top luxury expo events. No wonder why Knokke still enjoys the fame of being the “Saint Tropez of the North”.
Amongst numerous exhibitor stands of high quality garments, jewelry, paintings and sculpture creations, one item drew my full attention and – the very minute I caressed it – I was flooded with pure affection. Lebeau Courally has showcased an exclusive 20-piece line of hand-embellished Boudoir handbags by Radhi Kilachand. The concept stands out on its own. The realization is undoubtedly a success.
Holding a painting round your arm gives you some extra credit and the feeling of the thick texture of the paint at the bottom of your fingertips every time you reach for the buckle and click your precious Boudoir open, is simply divine. The hand-painted design was also perfectly fit for a bohemian evening like last night. It really got me tempted to combine it with my flower-girl Simeoni outfit, at least for a mini photo shoot. Whether in gray/beige or salmon color, this limited Boudoir is a fashion accessory which can add a sophisticated brushstroke on a quiet monochrome pastel outfit or a boho splash on more intense summery colors. It is the ultimate temptation for those who get a chill of goosebumps at the perfect combination of art and style.
