As she was stepping out of the dark polished four-seater, he gently held her hand to show her away from the muddy ponds on the ground and swiftly led her to the entrance, so as to protect her from the howling wind. That evening was a cold one, a clear sign that winter was at the doorstep. But when a gentleman is around, there is little to worry about. We politely held the venue door open for the charming couple that was right one step behind us and - we could tell from the sparks in their eyes - the minute the entrance curtains were drawn, they entered a sensational world of desire - quite likely for the very first time.

When you do not expect it, it is a surprising plunge into a pool of preciousness. And when you are already familiar with the format, your eagerness to join the next annual event grows by the day. I remember the feeling at my first "Days of Desire", back then when it started smaller and grew into a luxurious feast that tingles all senses. Always private and only by invitation, the expo organized by the family Ide, owners of the well-established Lebeau Courally, keeps evolving. And every year, more people wish they could be part of it. This is why in November 2015 each double invitation was accompanied by the option to invite two of the guests' best friends. Classical and cutting-edge sleek design bags reinvented with snake leather and modernized cuts, precious stone jewelry creations, extraordinarily hand-carved, elaborate and functional hunting gear, unique precision and completely handmade watches made purely from 1- kilo-massif-gold mechanic elements, as well as intriguing food triggers for advanced, sophisticated palettes were allocated in multiple themed halls. For a few nights the stables of the estate were transformed into a gleaming tunnel mystically lit by a row of crystal chandeliers, mysteriously entwining the relaxed rustic feel with royalty. As we were lured to explore, champagne and wine flowed generously amidst cigar aromas, caviar and meat delicacies.
Way past midnight - the magic still going on but us needing to attend to the busy schedule of the following working day - we decided to head back home. As we were leaving the paradise of senses, an unexpected desire arose, one that up until then had never occurred to me. “How would a flight home on one of these high-tech choppers actually feel now?” And then it became clear to me that Lebeau Courally had successfully figured out the recipe which stimulates our innate desire to dare, to experience and to gain more from everything life has to offer.
